Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè (/ˈɘnè/ /ˈʃɪrë/ [dry] [cathedral]) is a temperate Town located in the Têqayëg̈ê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè was founded by Dhighohz Tshêtco, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè receives an average of 238 cm/y (93 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1758 m (5767 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 15th century in summer of the year 1433, by Dhighohz Tshêtco. The establishment of Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Dhighohz Tshêtco pushed on reguardles, and Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè is buildings are located arround a single narrow baked earthen mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. The town's top tier civilian fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the simple fact that it is abundantly clear Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè long.

Cultural Notes

Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè is home to a distinct subculture, who are either the majority here or have the dominant positions in the community. Architecture, local laws, and social customs are all tuned to suit them, and they may not be particularly forgiving or friendly to the major culture of the region. Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

Ênè-shîrë Dêtîkè's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Loch Rila began to boil, and released a thick toxic cloud from beneath its waters which brought great calamity to the entire nation, killing every person and animal in its path which could not escape the cloud. Oddly, the plants of the region flourished in the years after the disaster. The disaster brought an end to people, livestock, and buildings. The disaster is referred to as the Grieving Wind.
